Wild & Scenic Joins World Music Fest

Two of Nevada County’s preeminent events join forces this year to bring you a taste of the world like you’ve never seen it.  The Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival is partnering with the California WorldFest to produce a true “world tour” of music and the arts.

California WorldFest takes place July 17-20 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and the Wild & Scenic Film Festival will be featuring specially selected films to be shown Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons.  Films will be shown in an indoor, air-conditioned venue and are included in the price of admission to WorldFest.  In addition to the films, California WorldFest features 8 stages of music from around the globe; children’s programs; vocal, dance, and instrumental workshops; international foods; crafts; and much more.

The lineup of artists at this year’s WorldFest is truly amazing.  World-class performers include Ozomatli, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, David Bromberg & Angel Band, Emeline Michel, Strunz & Farah, David Lindley, Tcheka, Moshav, Wailin’ Jennys, Baka Beyond, Haale, Dobet Ghanore, Fishtank Ensemble, George Kahumoku, Chic Gamine, California Guitar Trio, Khac Chi, Redhead, Rufus, Cuban Cowboys, Masanga Marimba, Joe Craven, moira smiley & VOCO, Handsome Little Devils, and much more.

No need for airfare—just go online and buy a ticket to the 12th Annual California WorldFest and enjoy a world of music, film, and fun. You’ll leave feeling inspired and uplifted, with a song on your lips and a message in your heart.  We hope to see you there!
